After dismissing England for 218, Kuldeep Yadav, holding a ball from the umpire, approached Ashwin, indicating a desire for him to lead the team off the field in recognition of his century of Test matches. However, in a touching reversal of roles, Ashwin declined the gesture and handed the ball back to Kuldeep.

Instead, he insisted that Yadav take charge and lead the team towards the dressing room, emphasizing a collective celebration of the young cricketer’s outstanding performance on the field. This selfless act showcased the team’s unity and the mutual respect between the seasoned campaigner and the emerging talent, creating a memorable moment in the cricketing arena.
