The TATA IPL 2024 concluded with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) emerging as champions after defeating the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the final held on May 26, 2024, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Virat Kohli was the standout batsman of the season, amassing 741 runs in 15 matches, while Harshal Patel from Punjab Kings led the bowling charts with 24 wickets. The top four teams that advanced to the qualifiers were KKR, SRH, Rajasthan Royals (RR), and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). In the first qualifier, KKR triumphed over SRH by 8 wickets to secure their place in the final. SRH then faced RR in the second qualifier, winning by 36 runs to claim the second spot in the final showdown.
IPL 2024 Orange Cap Winner
Virat Kohli of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) secured the Orange Cap in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) by scoring 741 runs in 15 matches. This marked Kohli’s second Orange Cap win, with his first victory in 2016, making him the only Indian to win the award twice. For his remarkable performance, Kohli also received a cash prize of 10 lakhs.

Punjab Kings’ Harshal Patel won the Purple Cap in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, taking 24 wickets in 14 matches. The Purple Cap is awarded to the league’s top wicket-taker at the end of the season. This year, some of the best foreign players and promising Indian bowlers vied for the honor, but Patel emerged as the leading wicket-taker, showcasing his exceptional bowling skills.
