Lost 293 waala

The Delhi Opener has fond memories of these knocks and has kept them with him. However, he has lost the bat with which he scored 293 runs against Sri Lanka.

Sehwag’s remarkable innings

Sehwag had a batting masterclass against Pakistan in Multan in 2004, belting an unbroken 309 runs. With this historic triple century, he became the first Indian batsman to do so in Test cricket. His innings were replete with daring strokeplay, as he sent the ball 39 times to the boundary ropes and cleared it over the fence six times.

Sehwag added another triple century to his illustrious career, this time against South Africa in Chennai in 2008. His stunning 319-run inning reaffirmed his ability to demolish even the greatest bowling attacks. With these extraordinary innings, Sehwag became only the third player in the game’s history to hit two triple hundreds.

In addition to his triple centuries, Sehwag put in a number of other standout efforts. In 2011, his 219-run effort against the West Indies in Indore demonstrated his attacking prowess, as he demolished the opposition bowling with a slew of boundaries and aggressive shot-making.

Sehwag’s masterful innings included remarkable performances like a superb 119 against South Africa in Chennai in 2008, a flawless 254 against Pakistan in Lahore in 2006, and a stunning 293 against Sri Lanka in Mumbai in 2009.
