Indian Legendary Cricketer Virendra Sehwag Mocks Pakistan Team And Its Management’s Conduct In India

A marquee event like that of the World Cup is likely to be exposed to controversies and constant uproars. In this edition of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, which is being hosted in India after 12 years, Pakistan has stepped on the Indian soil after more than a decade but obviously the long time rivalry between the two countries won’t allow them to settle their disputes and the relations between their players even in this tournament.

Since the moment Babar Azam and his Men have stepped in Hyderabad, they have received a warm welcome but fans from both sides have constantly mocked and commented on the opponent team’s players. Even before the ongoing World Cup, PCB had already commemorated the need for issuing Pakistani visas and requested the ICC to look into the matter so that Pakistani audiences can travel to India to watch their home team play.

From Sehwag’s point of view

Former legendary cricketer Virendra Sehwag took to his Twitter handle to draw attention towards PCB’s misconduct during the World Cup matches and how they have blamed the Indian team for receiving undue advantages by the ICC, which is totally wrong. On his Twitter post, he remarked:

“In the 21st century, there have been 6 ODI World Cups. In 6 attempts, only once in 2007 did we not qualify for the semifinals and have qualified in 5 of the last 6 World Cups. On the other hand, only once have Pakistan have qualified for the semis in 6 attempts in 2011. And they come up with ridiculous allegations blaming ICC and BCCI for changing balls and pitch. Their Prime Minister mocks us when we lose to another team despite having beaten them.”

For what reason should they be treated with love!

Virendra Sehwag further claimed that for no reason, they expect love from the Indian crowd despite treating the Indian team with harsh words and criticising them for their good performance in the tournament. He added “Upon reaching there, their players post pictures of enjoying tea in Hyderabad with sarcasm to mock our soldiers. The PCB Chief on camera refers to our country as Dushman Mulk. And they expect love for their hate. And those preaching class, that is a two way street. Jo Achha vyavhar kare uske saath hum bahut hi achhe, aur jo aisa vyavhar kare toh sahi mauke par soot samet lautana is my way. On field bhi, off-field bhi.”
