Mumbai Indians player Luke Wood is missing out on the game. Before, stepping into the game, the change came out.  In the IPL 2024 season, Luke Wood participated in two matches, bowling a total of 6 overs, conceding 93 runs, and taking 1 wicket. With an average of 93.00 and an economy rate of 15.50, their best bowling performance resulted in a single wicket.

In the last game against Delhi Capitals, Luke Wood has conceded 68 runs in 4 overs and secured 1 wicket only. That spell impacted MI’s performance. Before facing LSG, the MI management made a strategic move. Skipper Hardik Pandya gave an update on that. He said, “Coetzee comes back in for Wood.”

Mayank’s Comeback and Toss Update:

In the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans, a key bowler bowled just one over, giving away 13 runs. However, he had to leave the field due to discomfort in his lower abdomen. After that, he missed five matches and now he has returned to the LSG squad against Mumbai Indians. 

Initially, Lucknow Super Giants won the toss and opted to bowl first. After winning the toss, KL Rahul said, “We will bowl first. Wicket looks good, want to put their batters under pressure and look to chase it. We’ll try to stay as balanced as possible. Need to come out and put up show. We have had a few good victories. Few changes, Quinton misses out. Kulkarni is in the team. Mayank is back as well. He has bowled really well, he has a huge impact. I have been pushing the physios and medical team. Mayank is eager to go. Important that he gets it out of his head that he had an injury.”
