ICC World Cup 2019: Excited Kuldeep Yadav Ready For the England Show

Kuldeep Yadav went wicketless in India’s first warm-up match for World Cup against New Zealand. Even his first spell in the second warm-up against Bangladesh was unsuccessful. But he came back strong in the second spell and proved that he is ready for the world cup and would be a key player for India.

On Drop during IPL 2019

Yadav was abruptly dropped from Kolkata Knight Riders during IPL 2019 followed by his bad form. He said how disappointing it was for him. But Kuldeep believed that he wasn’t in very bad form and the Eden wicket was very good for batting. Otherwise, he thinks that he was decent in IPL showcase and didn’t concede much run. But that drop was significant for his career. In an interview with ESPNcricinfo Yadav said, “Yes, it made a difference when I was not playing. I felt I deserved to play. It’s another thing that I did not get another opportunity because of the combination the management and captain wanted. I felt a bit bad at that point. But in T20s you can’t perform all the time – at times you do well, at times you don’t.”

On Virat & World Cup 2019

But his IPL form was never a concern for team India captain Virat Kohli. Virat went on to record to term Yadav as one of the pillars for his team. Talking about the same Kuldeep showed gratitude and told that he would give his best in this tournament. “It is a very big thing when your captain believes in you. Virat has always had a belief in [Yuzvendra] Chahal and me. He believes both of us can take wickets at any time in a match that we can change the game at any time. Even if we have a bad match or if we go for runs, he does not say anything. He trusts us, gives us the freedom to bowl the way we want to. ”

Yadav said he enjoyed his free time and worked with his personal coach for his improvement. He is excited as he got his career-best ODI figures in England but he is conscious about the stage. He believes this time he will get more time to showcase his skills in such a big event.
