Former Indian Cricketer Ambati Rayudu Sets Sail on a New Path, Joins YSR Congress Party

After their cricket career, cricketers opted for something other. Former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu walked on the same path. After retiring from cricket, he is set to start a new journey. On December 28, former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu joined the YSR Congress Party with the presence of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. 

A New Innings for Ambai Rayadu:

Rayadu announced his retirement after IPL 2023. Now, he is all set to start another innings of his life. On December 28, he joined the YSR Congress Party in Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s presence. That is a new innings by the former Indian cricketer. In that ceremony, Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Narayana Swamy was also presented there.

The YSR Congress Party gave an official statement on this matter. On their social media, they shared the statement. They said, “Famous Indian cricketer Ambati Tirupati Rayadu joined the YSR Congress Party in the presence of Chief Minister Shri YS Jagan at the CM Camp Office. Deputy CMK Narayana Swamy and MP Peddireddy Mithun Reddy participated in this program.”

Rayudu’s View of His New Journey:

After retiring from international cricket, he was touring the rural areas of Guntur. At that time, he hinted at his political journey. He said, “I shall soon enter politics in Andhra Pradesh to serve the people. Before that, I have decided to visit different parts of the district to know the people’s pulse and understand their problems.”

Then he added, “I shall come out with a concrete action plan on how to go about in politics and which platform I would choose.”

In 2019, he retired from international cricket. He continued playing the IPL after that. In the 2023 IPL, he was a part of the Chennai Super Kings. He announced his retirement after winning the trophy for the franchise.in 55 ODIs, he scored 1694 runs including 3 centuries and 10 half-centuries.
