WPL 2023: Healy, Harleen are the massive gainers in the Orange Cap list

Alyssa Healy eventually struck, and her undefeated 96 was a beautiful one that destroyed Royal Challengers Bangalore. After 127 runs from three games, the UP Warriorz skipper moved up to fifth place on the WPL Orange Cap scoreboard. Meg Lanning, the captain of the Delhi Capitals, is setting the example. She had two consecutive 70+ scores, moving her to the top of the list of WPL run scorers. Shafali Verma is listed at number four, followed by Hayley Matthews in second place. Contrarily, Harleen Deol, who scored 113 runs, entered the top three.

During the match against Mumbai Indians, Meg Lanning retained the top spot on the orange cap list for the Women’s Premier League 2023. She scored 43 runs in the game, making her the only scorer for the Delhi Capitals. Haley Mathews, who scored 32 runs in the game, is next in line. After two defeats with poor scores, Shafali Verma has slipped to the seventh spot.

Meg Lanning, the Delhi Capitals‘ starting center, and Shafali Verma have been playing well. In their season opener against RCB, the pair put up an incredible 162-run duet. Shafali didn’t score much in the following game, but Lanning hit another 70 in a decisive victory for the DC team.

Hayley Matthews of Mumbai Indians, who was acquired for the base price, scored a quickfire 67 against RCB after smashing a 31-ball 47 in the game’s opening innings. Nat Sciver-Brunt, a teammate of hers, is eighth on the list with 101 runs under her belt.

Ellyse Perry played superbly for her 52 runs as she kept the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the hunt. She rose to fourth place in the leading run scorers’ chart. Tahlia McGrath’s unbroken 90 in her team’s loss to Delhi was the highest score in the tournament. But Healy broke her record today with an unbeaten 96.
