ICC World Cup 2019: Special Wishes From German Football Star Thomas Mueller To Virat Kohli

It seems that cricket fever is taking over the whole world currently. World Cup winning German team forward and Bayern Munich Football Club player Thomas Muller has come out publicly to showcase his love for cricket. Moreover, Thomas Mueller Wishes Virat Kohli Virat Kohli and his team for the tournament on his twitter handle ahead of South Africa Clash.

Here is what Thomas Muller Tweeted

Muller took to Twitter and wrote, “I wish all participants of the Cricket #WorldCup2019 good luck & thrilling matches. Especially I cross my fingers for @imVkohli, the captain of the Indian team. He`is a fan of @DFB_Team and supported it multiple times in the past.”

Virat won the title in 2011 whereas Muller won the Fifa World Cup in 2014. Virat is already a known fanboy of football. He often shows his passion for the same openly during the tournaments. India has a huge fan base for world football anyway, and Indians love these clubs as their own. Indian cricket players, along with the captain are no exception. Once post the Euro 2016, Virat took to his social media account to showcase his love for Germany. It seems like Muller has remembered the same and now wants to return the favour and support Virat wholeheartedly to lift the World Cup 2019, currently being played in England.

India to Begin WC 2019

World Cup 2019 has started in full swing on May 30, and all of the teams have played at least one match so far except India. India will face South Africa on June 5 to start its campaign. This is due to a Lodha recommendation that suggests players should get 15-day rest before another tournament. So followed by hectic IPL, BCCI has requested ICC to delay India’s first play. Kohli will be leading the side for the first time in the World Cup, and Muller’s special wish will undoubtedly motivate him for the hunt.
