Sai Sudarshan hails MS Dhoni; calls him the ‘most humble person’

The IPL 2023 featured a number of young players who established themselves in the biggest T20 competition in the world with outstanding performances. Sai Sudharsan was one of the numerous young people who shone throughout the season, and his name was on everyone’s lips from the beginning. When Kiwi hitter Kane Williamson suffered an injury while fielding during the tournament’s opening game, the 21-year-old took his spot as an impact player.

In the second and third games of GT, Sudharsan notched back-to-back half-centuries. He also produced a brilliant knock, scoring 96 off 47 balls in the championship game. The batter from Chennai, who humiliated CSK in the big game, disclosed that he spoke with MS Dhoni after Qualifier 1 and will carry his advice with him moving forward.

Sai Sudarshan spoke

“I got an opportunity to speak to him for 10-15 minutes after Qualifier 1. I think we spoke a lot about cricket, and knowing more of yourself, and I think it is very useful, and I will take it going forward definitely,” Sudharsan was quoted as saying by News18.

The CSK captain, he continued, is the most humble guy he has ever encountered since he takes the time to talk to everyone.

“Dhoni is the most humble person I have met because he gives time to everyone. On the day I spoke to him, there were a lot of people talking to him before. He was very humble, and he gave everybody a lot of time and that is one thing I admire about him. The way he reads the game, I would also like to learn a lot from him and if given an opportunity, I would like to speak to him in the future,” he added.

Sai Sudarshan has a great future ahead of him. He will be a great player for Gujarat in the near future.
