Virat explained about the immense contributions of Dhoni in the Indian cricket team. He said that the best thing about Dhoni is that he knows how to bat in a certain situation. If his team needs 15-20 runs, he knows how to get them. His experience has been of great help according to the skipper.
Virat Kohli talked about how one off day of Dhoni makes everyone talk negatively about him. But he ensured that Dhoni has the back of the whole Indian team and management. The match winner’s experience of understanding the game helps them to understand what is good for the team. “He has such a keen understanding of the game. Always sends us feedback. His experience, eight out of ten times, works for us. If he says 265 is a good score on a pitch, we don’t aim for 300 and end up scoring 230. He’s a legend for us and hopefully will continue” Kohli said. With Dhoni is the team the middle order gets the support of a senior player which is beneficial for the team. Moreover, Dhoni’s suggestion has been significantly helpful for Kohli during captaincy. So it is expected that Kohli will support his senior.
