After team India’s defeat at the first semi-final of World Cup 2019 against New Zealand, the issue of Dhoni’s retirement has once again become the talk of the town. Some are still believing in Dhoni, some want him to take retirement. The people asking for his retirement believe that Dhoni is not able to deliver match-winning performances anymore and India have suffered for the same in this tournament. Yesterday when India was struggling in from of the Kiwi seamers some expected Dhoni to bat at number four to stabilize the innings. But Dhoni was seen batting at No.7. The judgment of the team management is being severely criticized.

Earlier Dhoni’s intent was questioned in the match against England. That was the only match India lost in the group stage. The England match and New Zealand match saw a struggling Dhoni trying to make big shots. Moreover, in both matches, India came back strongly after the initial blow and Dhoni was one of the reasons for that. But still, Virat Kohli has to answer about Dhoni in every press conference.

Lata Mangeshkar requests MS Dhoni not to retire

With the entire team backing him Dhoni has found a new supporter. The Nightingale of Bollywood has requested the former skipper not to consider retirement now as the team needs him in this struggling phase. Lata took to Twitter and wrote:

Amidst so much criticism, these few words coming from a legend will surely boost MS Dhoni.
