IPL 2024 Purple Cap: Updated After Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Match No. 30

In yet another exciting IPL 2024 match, Royal Challengers Bengaluru took on Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Sunrisers Hyderabad made history by achieving a massive total and then showcasing remarkable bowling skills. Their bowlers’ outstanding performances not only secured the victory but also influenced the Purple Cap standings. 

RCB’s Pathetic Bowling:

After winning the toss, Royal Challengers Bengaluru opted to bowl first. But their bowling performance was pathetic. Their failure remained the reason for SRH’s giant total. After missing out on previous games, Lockie Ferguson made his debut for RCB. He conceded 52 runs and 2 wickets with an economy rate of 13. Reece Topley took 1 wicket after conceding 68 runs. 

The other bowlers conceded plenty of runs. Will Jacks bowled for three overs and conceded 32 runs. Yash Dayal bowled four overs and conceded 51 runs but failed to pick up any wickets. Vyshak Vijay Kumar gave 64 runs in 4 overs. 

Hyderabad’s Bowling Performances:

After a dominating batting performance, SRH bowlers came to attack. They dominated the RCB side. Captain Cummins created his magic with the ball. In 4 overs, he conceded 43 runs and picked up 3 wickets with an economy rate of 10.73. Mayank Markande shined bright. He took 2 wickets in 46 runs. T. Natarajan took 1 wicket in 47 runs. They won the match by 25 runs.
