IPL 2024 Points Table: Updated After MI vs DC and LSG vs GT Match No. 20 and 21

The day was eventful as fand witnessed two thrilling matches on April 7. In the first match of the day, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals locked horns. In the second match, Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans locked horns. After two blockbusters, some notable changes happened in the Points table.

Mumbai’s Explosive Batting and Delhi’s Hardship:

In the first match of the doubleheader, Mumbai Indians faced Delhi Capitals. In that match, Mumbai showed their dominance. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan gave a perfect start and set the base and later the match went on. Skipper Hardik Pandya played an impactful knock. Lucknow Super Giants’s Brilliance:

The second match of the day saw a clash between Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans. After 2 quick wickets were down, KL Rahul and Marcus Stoinis made a valuable partnership. After that, Nicholas Pooran played an unbeaten knock and helped the team to reach a competitive total. 

On the other hand, Gujarat batters struggled. Sai Sudharsan scored 31 runs. Skipper Shubman Gill walked away after scoring 19 runs. After that, some wickets went down quickly. Rahul Tewatia played a knock of 30 runs. They lost the match by 33 runs.

After the exceptional dominance in the match against Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians registered their first win of this tournament. With this point, from the 10th position, they climbed up to the 8th position. Delhi Capitals is standing in the 10th position with an NRR of -0.1.370. 

In the second match, LSG met GT and defeated them by 33 runs. After that, Lucknow climbed up to the third position and collected 6 points. On the other hand, Gujarat Titans slipped to the 7th position and standing with 4 points.
