Another prominent acquisition by the Bangalore-based team in the IPL 2023 auction was English all-rounder Will Jacks. The Englishman is a capable ballplayer as well as a proficient hitter. The team trusted the young Englishman to fill in for the injured Glenn Maxwell, so they paid 3.20 crores for him. They attempted to recruit Manish Pandey, a seasoned IPL player but were outbid by Delhi Capitals, who went on to sign the slick Indian batting veteran.
