Yesterday, it was Mumbai Indians’ newly appointed captain, Hardik Pandya who expressed his disappointment over the team’s performance after losing his last match of the season.

Ironically, their opponents, LSG who came out victorious in yesterday’s match had shared the similar feeling despite a win. LSG captain KL Rahul had lamented on the team’s disappointing performance this season.

This time it is CSK batsman Rachin Ravindra who has also joined the bandwagon to express discontent with his performance.

CSK’s young batsman Rachin Ravindra shared his unhappiness with the performance he showed in the IPL 2024 season.

Speaking in front of the camera, before today’s match between CSK and RCB, Rachin hoped that the rain would stay away from Bangalore, where the match is being held.

“It’s going to be incredible, hopefully, the rain stays away and we can put up a show for our fans. The atmosphere has been electric here at the Chinnaswamy. Just keep your feet on the ground and take it as it comes.” Said Rachin.

Additionally, he also expressed his gratitude towards the CSK management, who supported him throughout the season, despite IPL 2024 not being his best run.

Amazing to be part of CSK, amazing players and the management, the support staff, they’ve kind, I haven’t had the greatest run, have seen the ups and downs,” Ravindra added.

CSK won the toss today, and opted to bowl first. The RCB has scored 118/2 as of now. The match is to be a knockout match, as the winning team gets to the IPL 2024 playoffs, while the losing team gets kicked out of the season.

If we consider the winning chances of the two teams, based on their previous encounters, the results over the years seem to favour CSK. RCB have won only once in their last five meetings and only 31% of the all the matches in the IPL against them.

CSK wins and gets a direct entry into the playoffs. RCB, however, have to win and win by a certain margin – assuming a score of 200, they need to win by 18 runs or chase the target down with about 11 balls to spare – to get into the top four.
