Rishabh Pant debuted as IPL captain today and it was interesting to see him walking along with MS Dhoni whom had been replaced by Pant in the national side. Pant, after winning the toss, elected to field first and mentioned how good it felt to have the first outing with ‘Mahi Bhai.’

Regarding the team, the young skipper of the Capitals said, “The wicket is slightly softer underneath. I’m going to be a mix of experience and youth.” He further informed, “Stoinis, Hetmyer, Woakes, and Tom Curran are our overseas players. We are not playing in Delhi, so we are fine.”
