Here is why Kane Williamson not playing today against RCB

Kane Williamson has been a dependable name when it comes to Sunrisers Hyderabad set-up. Especially in the 2018 edition of Indian Premier League as the skipper of SRH. He led them to the final of the league in the absence of regular captain David Warner. He also captained the side in a few matches in the IPL 2019 as well. Even with the bat in 2018, Williamson was brilliant as he scored 735 runs in 17 games at an average of 52.50 and a strike rate of 142.44. Even after his steady contributions Kane Williamson often failed to cement his place to the playing XI of the side and that is mostly because of the overseas restrictions.

Opting out Williamson

IPL teams are allowed to play four overseas players which make things difficult for them often. Based on the conditions they have to give miss even to the best of international cricketers occasionally. Today when David Warner led Sunrisers Hyderabad came to face Royals Challengers Bangalore in the fourth fixture of IPL 2020, quite a few expected to see Willaimsion making the cut. But that did not happen. Although Warner was not asked about it precisely, a lot has to do with team combination here.

SRH opted for their steady opening pair- David Warner and Jonny Bairstow. Considering the T20 reputation and recent few good CPL shows of Rashid Khan, in UAE he could not be missed either. The seam friendly track seemed keeping Mitchell Marsh in the squad more appropriate option. Which is why Kane Williamson, the Kiwi skipper once again has to go the reserve for not being able to fit into the balance.
