Indian Cricket Team’s New Partnership with Adidas Unveils Stylish Jersey

In an exciting development for cricket enthusiasts across the nation, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a groundbreaking collaboration with renowned sportswear brand Adidas as its official kit sponsor for the Indian Cricket Team. The much-anticipated jersey design for the Indian cricket team was revealed ahead of the final of the ICC World Test Championship 2023 in England, generating immense joy among the cricket-crazy crowd in the country.

Adidas, a global superbrand in sports goods, showcased a classy iteration of the Indian jersey on their social media platforms, captivating fans and players alike. As the Indian team gears up for the World Test Championship final against Australia, scheduled to begin on June 7 at The Oval, they will proudly sport the iconic three stripes for the very first time, marking a significant moment in Indian cricket history. 

Under the terms of the contract, which extends until March 2028, Adidas will enjoy exclusive rights to supply kits across all formats of the game. The company will serve as the sole provider of match attire, training gear, and travel wear for the BCCI, encompassing the men’s, women’s, and youth teams. This comprehensive partnership aims to enhance the performance and future success of Indian cricket across different categories.

Expressing his excitement about the collaboration, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah remarked, “We are committed to helping grow the game of cricket and could not be more excited to partner with one of the world’s leading sportswear brands, Adidas, in this journey. With its rich historical legacy in sports, world-class products, and strong global reach, Adidas will play an important role in driving the performance and future success of different categories of Indian cricket.” 

Adidas has an illustrious history of partnerships with renowned teams such as the World Champions AFA (Argentina Football Association), the All Blacks, and Major League Soccer, among others. The association with the Indian cricket team adds another feather to their cap, further solidifying their presence in the world of sports.

In addition to outfitting the Men’s and Women’s Senior National Cricket Teams, Adidas will also provide kits for the India “A” Men’s and Women’s National Teams, the India “B” Men’s and Women’s National Teams, and the India U-19 Men’s and Women’s National Teams. Coaches and staff associated with these teams will also receive Adidas attire, highlighting the brand’s commitment to supporting cricket at all levels.
