Quite an extraordinary achievement for team India as Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli bags first and second positions respectively in the the table. Rohit, having hit 48 runs is now leading at the table with a total of 269 runs followed by Virat Kohli’s marvellous 103-run century off 97 deliveries which summed up his runs to equal 259. New Zealand’s Devon Conway is at the 3rd position with same run points followed by Pakistan’s Mohammed Rizwan. The rest of the players remain alike as yesterday’s rankings with Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz missing out in the list this time owing to Virat Kohli’s extraordinary century.
Quite a game
Though as defending champions, Bangladesh had a slow start but openers Tanzid Hasan and Litton Das made sure to smash half-centuries and take Bangladesh onto a journey of 256-run chase. In contrast to Bangladesh, India had a rapid start to the game and easily managed to chase the target in just 40 overs with a loss of 3 wickets. India will face New Zealand in its next match at the HPCA stadium in Dharamshala on October 22. It is going to be one kind of an experience to witness this match as New Zealand and India are the only two teams who haven’t faced a single defeat in the group stage of the ongoing 2023 World Cup.
