Hardik Pandya expresses how Dhoni, Kohli and Rohit have helped him evolve

Since Hardik Pandya made a start to his international career, the people in India have set high hopes on him. Every now and then, he has shown signs of being the all-rounder India has been looking for ages. Even though he has had a tough time after being compared with the legendary Kapil Dev, yet he is a product in the making.

His international career is relatively new yet he is a prominent member of all 3 formats in the national side. When he made it to the Indian team, MS Dhoni was leading the side. Hardik was all praises for the contribution of Dhoni in shaping his career.

“MS was someone who didn’t talk much and let us do what we loved to do. He never changed my game. Dhoni was someone who was very important to me as I was raw, I was learning. That was the time where with my personality, I had to evolve. And he gave me the time to understand my role,” said Pandya as quoted by Times Now.

Before he made it big in international cricket, he came to the fore in the IPL. Playing for Mumbai Indians under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, Pandya flourished and made a name for himself.

“Rohit is someone who is fantastic. He doesn’t make you feel that he is the captain. He lets you do what you want to do. He is chilled out,” Hardik Pandya said about Rohit’s captaincy for Mumbai Indians.

All 3 captains helped Pandya grow

While MS and Rohit were there in Pandya’s initial stages of the career, Virat Kohli has been at the helm of affairs for the last couple of years. The 25-year-old said that all 3 captains are different but fantastic in their areas.

“If MS was not there, it would have been a different story with my life. Virat is someone who has helped me grow big time and I have grown my career with Rohit,” added the Baroda-lad.
