Australia Breathes: Starc and Maxwell are Coming Back in Third ODI Against India

ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 is set to be on the stage from October 5. All teams are preparing hard ahead of the biggest tournament of cricket. Some of the teams are playing their last ODI series just before the World Cup. Australia is playing a three-match ODI series against India. It is a final preparation phase for both teams. But just before the 3rd ODI, the Australian squad received good news. Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Starc will be coming back in the final ODI against India.

 Mitchell Starc’s comment:

Mitchell Starc suffered a shoulder injury during the Ashes. Despite the injury, Starc was out of cricket in the Australia vs. South Africa match. He also missed the previous two ODIs against India. Famous Australian allrounder Glenn Maxwell was injured because of the tendon on his ankle. For that reason, he was also out of the cricket for a few times.

Mitchell Starc said, “ he is here for training today as well. Not sure about his exact timeline but no doubt he will be looking to make an impact. He has a wealth of experience through the IPL. He is an X-factor. It will be his third World Cup. he adds in the bowling department as well.”

He also added, “We have used a wide squad of players due to injuries and managing the workload of players. We have tried different combinations. Leading into the World Cup, it is not a position you want to be in, but there’s still plenty to look forward to in terms of what the makeup of the team will look like in the World Cup. Plus, it is another chance to get accustomed to the conditions.”
