The first match of the last doubleheader of the IPL 2024 has seen a clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. In this match, the bowlers of both teams showcased excellent efforts. While bowling in the first innings, Hyderabad bowlers showcased their efforts. T Natarajan secured 2 wickets in 33 runs. Pat Cummins and Vijaykanth Viyaskanth ended up taking 1 wicket each. 

While defending the 214 runs, Punjab Kings bowlers tried well. Arshdeep Singh gave an excellent start. He dismissed Travis Head on the very first ball of the second innings. After that, Harsal Patel dismissed Rahul Tripathi on a very crucial moment. Abhishek Sharma was going well but Shashank Singh dismissed him. That was a big wicket for the team. Arshdeep Singh ended up taking 2 wickets in 37 runs. Harshal Patel secured 2 wickets in 49 runs. Harpreet Brar and Shashank Singh secured 1 wicket each. Despite those efforts, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the game by 4 wickets.

In the second match of the day at Barsapara Stadium, Rajasthan Royals were set to face Kolkata Knight Riders in their final group stage game. Both teams prepared eagerly, but rain disrupted the proceedings. Although the toss took place, with Kolkata Knight Riders opting to bowl first, the weather did not cooperate. Persistent rain delays forced officials to wait, but the match was eventually abandoned without a single ball being bowled. Despite their readiness, both teams were left disappointed as the rain washed out their final group stage clash.
