Despite Chahal’s impressive performances since 2021, including 29 wickets at an average of 26.62 in 18 appearances, the selectors chose Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav for the spin role.
Chahal’s positive reaction on Twitter indicated that he is optimistic about his future despite the omission. He shared a post using emoticons implying that he believes better times are ahead.
