WTC Points Table 2023-25 Update: India rise in the points table after Ranchi victory

India has secured the second spot in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table after a five-wicket victory over England in the fourth Test in Ranchi. This win also helped India take an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series.

New Zealand currently leads the points table with a points percentage (PCT) of 75 after four Tests. Australia remains in third place with a PCT of 55 after 10 matches, ahead of their two-match Test series against New Zealand.

India chased down a 192-run target in the fourth innings of the Ranchi Test, with skipper Rohit Sharma scoring a half-century. Shubman Gill and Dhruv Jurel also contributed significantly, with Gill hitting a half-century and Jurel playing a crucial role in guiding India to victory.

India’s win in Ranchi was their fifth in seven games this cycle, while England is currently in eighth place after suffering their sixth defeat. Sri Lanka occupies the bottom spot in the points table with two losses from as many games.

India and England will now head into a ten-day break before facing off in the final Test in Dharamsala from March 7-11.
