On the 16th match, Mumbai Indians met Gujarat Giants at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. After winning the toss, the Giants decided to bat first. After losing Laura Wolvaardt’s wicket, Beth Mooney and Dayalan Hemalatha made a good partnership. Sajeevan Sajana broke that partnership. She dismissed Beth Mooney on 66 runs.
Shabnim Ismail dismissed Daylan Hemalatha on 74 runs. Saika Ishaque took 2 wickets in 31 runs. Shabnim Ismail, Hayley Matthews, Pooja Vastrakar, and Sajeevan Sajana took one wicket each. They ended up scoring 190/7.
