The absence of Kane Williamson has been a regular talking point in SRH match, especially after their performances. Even today when they are going to face Mumbai Indians, this is once again going to be a topic of discussion. However, it seems that Kane Williamson is yet to take part in SRH matches for next few days following his recovery.
Star New Zealand batsman Kane Williamson missed the first two matches of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Due to an elbow injury he couldn’t take part in those fixtures and the results of those matches made his absence feel among the fans. No that he is recovering well, he is expected to be match fit soon and able to take part in IPL. The 30-year old Williamson informed that he is expected to regain his full fitness within the week. In a video shared by SRH, Kane Williamson was seen sharing his fitness update.
One of the important member in SRH’s middle order, Kane Williamson suffered a small tear in his left elbow tendon and was ruled out of the home ODI series against Bangladesh in March. Since then he is yet to take part in any competition and reportedly recovering well. On Friday Williamson said in a video that “recovery is going really well”. He continued, “…you know I have been focussed to get pain free as quickly as possible and we are certainly tracking really nicely and hoping to be fit and ready within the week.”
He further added, “It’s been a bit of a balance between practice and rehab and sort of things. But for the most part, the progression is been really good. So pretty optimistic about being close to full fitness very soon.” Kane Williamson has been a major part of SRH core. He scored 317 runs in 11 innings to take the Hyderabad team to the playoffs last season in the UAE during IPL 2020.
