When will India travel to USA for T20 World Cup 2024?

Team India is gearing up for the T20 World Cup 2024, scheduled to be held in the United States of America and the Caribbean in June. The Indian squad, led by Rohit Sharma, is considered one of the favorites for the tournament. The team is looking to end their ICC title drought, having not won a title since 2013.

India’s campaign in the T20 World Cup 2024 will begin with a match against Ireland on 5th June in New York. This will be followed by matches against Pakistan on 9th June, USA on 12th June, and Canada on 15th June, all in New York and Florida.

India’s travel date announced

The Indian squad for the T20 World Cup 2024 is expected to be announced soon, as the deadline for squad submission is 1st May. The team will travel to the USA on 21st May, with the first batch of players who are not part of the IPL Play-offs. This early travel is intended to help the players acclimatize to the conditions in the USA ahead of the tournament.

The BCCI has reportedly shortlisted 20 players for the T20 World Cup 2024, with 15 making it into the main squad and the remaining 5 traveling with the team as reserves. The probable 20 players include Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Sanju Samson, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravi Bishnoi, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, and Avesh Khan.
