KKR has emerged victorious in the past five clashes against these two teams at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The last instance of RCB defeating KKR in Bengaluru dates back to a rain-shortened match in 2015. This historical record suggests KKR’s dominance over RCB on this ground. 

But if we look at the previous record of those two teams while facing each other, KKR will stand tall. After 2015, RCB has not defeated them at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.  In the 33rd match of the IPL 2015, both teams locked horns at RCB’s den. As the rain interrupted the game, the overs were cut down from 20 to 10. While batting first, KKR put on a target of 112 runs to the opponent. 

While chasing the target, Chris Gayle scored 21 runs in 9 balls. Kohli played a knock of 34 runs in 20 balls. Mandeep Singh remained unbeaten on 45 runs in just 18 deliveries. They reached the target easily and won the match by 7 wickets. 

Scenario of Both Teams Before the Clash:

Kolkata Knight Riders has started their IPL 2024 journey against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The match was a pure thriller. Both teams showed excellence on the big stage. The Kolkata crowd experienced the madness of the game. While batting first, Kolkata put on a target of 208 runs. Even in the second innings, KKR bowlers dominated the opponent batters. Heinrich Klaasen scored an amazing 63 runs in 29 balls. But KKR’s bowling brilliance snatched the game and won the match by 4 runs. 

On the other hand, RCB met PBKS in Bengaluru. With the support of the home crowd, they showcased their dominance. The RCB bowlers restricted the PBKS batters to 176 runs. Even while batting in the second innings, they showed their brilliance. Virat Kohli played an amazing knock of 77 runs in just 49 balls. Dinesh Karthik played his finisher role by playing a knock of 28 runs in 10 balls. They sealed the match by a 4-wicket win.
