What a match. SRH was expected to score another 250+ and they did not disappoint. After losing the toss, the team ended up batting first. Well that turned out to be for the best as the batting order for SRH are in top shape this season.
With openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma pn a roll, the team was quick to score 125 runs in the powerplay. Needless to say, the feat they achieved was a record on its own. Apart from this, they made another record by scoring the fastest team hundred, in 5 mere overs.

Speaking at the end of the match ceremony, Australian Cricket Team and Sun Risers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins shared that the SRH bowlers were very disciplined.
“Good record here, another great game of cricket. Need to keep that going. There wasn’t much for the bowlers in the powerplay. Got better for the bowlers when the ball got softer. Very excited to see them batting, but got to bowl in the second half. We were really disciplined with the ball, the bowlers executed their plans.” He said.
Travis Head becomes Plater Of The Match
After successfully creating 2 records in the powerplay with Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head was bound to be the POTM. Here’s was he said at the After match ceremony:
“Boys are playing well, very enjoyable. Just tried to stay relaxed and hit the ball. Need to keep things simple, need to react to the balls. Very pleased to continue with the same form. He (Abhishek Sharma) plays well in the powerplay. He’s aggressive against spin, just let him do his things. Very enjoyable partnership with him.”
