Tilak Varma’s Golden Gift to Parents: Heartwarming Gesture by the Cricketer

The whole world is crazy over the World Cup. But within that hype, India has achieved another milestone. Currently, Rohit Sharma’s team is busy playing in the World Cup. But another Indian team was playing in the Asian Games in China. Ruturaj Gaikwad was the captain of that team. Ruturaj and Co. won the gold medal in the Men’s Cricket Championship. That is a huge achievement. They made the whole of India proud. 

Tilak Varma’s special gesture:

Tilak Varma was one of the winning members of the team. He also contributed enough to win the gold. After returning to India, the winning team was felicitated in Delhi by BCCI. After returning home, Tilak Varma made a heartwarming gesture with his gold medal. 

After coming back, Tilak gave the gold medal to his parents. He took his social media handle to share that picture. He posted his parents’ picture wearing the gold medal, and wrote, “A special moment for me and my family.” even in the match in that tournament, Tilak showed a tattoo of his parents on his body. It was a very proud moment for his parents. 

After winning the gold, Tilak said, “ It has been a proud moment playing in the Asian Games. This is the first time we are playing Asian Games, I would say it is an amazing feeling. We can’t express the feeling right now because standing on the stage with the medal and the national anthem and all, it was so emotional. So I would say that we are very lucky and I would congratulate each and every Indian for getting this gold.

Double achievement for India:

It was a double achievement for India. Along with the men’s team, the Women’s team also won gold in the tournament. Indian Men’s team met Afghanistan in the final of the Asian Games. Afghanistan batted till 18.2 overs, then the rain interrupted the game. India didn’t have a chance to play. They won the match because of the higher ranking.

It was a historic moment for the Indian Women’s team in the Asian Games. They faced Sri Lanka in the final match. In that match, the Indian team bagged the match by 19 runs. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur scored 46 runs and Jemimah scored 42 runs. They won the gold medal and made the whole country proud.
