Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has extended his congratulations to Ravichandran Ashwin and Jonny Bairstow for reaching the milestone of playing their 100th Test match in Dharamsala. Both players achieved this significant milestone during the fifth and final Test match between India and England at the HPCA Stadium.

Sachin Tendulkar tweeted

“It’s a historic day in Dharamsala as @ashwinravi99 and @jbairstow21 don the international whites for the 100th time. An incredible achievement that speaks volumes about their passion and perseverance for red-ball cricket. I wish them both a fantastic game ahead!,” Tendulkar posted on ‘X’.

Ravichandran Ashwin became the 14th Indian cricketer to play 100 Test matches, joining an elite list of players such as Tendulkar (200 Tests), Rahul Dravid (163), VVS Laxman (134), Anil Kumble (132), Kapil Dev (131), and others. Jonny Bairstow, on the other hand, became the 17th English cricketer to reach this milestone.

Tendulkar, who holds the record for the most number of Test matches played (200), expressed his admiration for Ashwin and Bairstow’s dedication to red-ball cricket. He praised their passion and perseverance, wishing them both a fantastic game ahead.

The fifth Test in Dharamsala marks a historic occasion for both players, highlighting their remarkable careers and contributions to the sport.
