Rajasthan Royals‘ Riyan Parag played a scintillating innings, scoring an unbeaten 84 off 45 balls, to lead his team to a challenging total of 185/5 against Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2024 match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Suryakumar Yadav, who witnessed Parag’s transformation firsthand, praised the young player, calling him “Riyan Parag 2.0.” Yadav recalled meeting Parag at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) a few weeks ago and noticing his dedication to recovery and skill development.

Parag’s innings was highlighted by his assault on South African pacer Anrich Nortje in the final over, where he scored 25 runs with a flurry of boundaries and sixes. This knock included seven fours and six sixes, showcasing Parag’s ability to take on the best bowlers.
Despite losing early wickets, Parag held the innings together with crucial partnerships with Ravichandran Ashwin (29) and Dhruv Jurel (20) to propel Rajasthan Royals to a competitive total.
