SRH Sets Arun Jaitley Stadium Ablaze with Record 266-run T20 Total against DC

The Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Delhi Capitals match is one of the best matches so far in this IPL season. Since the beginning, the DRH batters have been on fire and as a result of that, the match created several records. It’s Delhi Capitals’ first game this season. SRH’s aggressive batting has put them in a commanding position. However, the start has been a nightmare for the DC squad, as they struggle to keep up with SRH’s relentless onslaught. Before today’s match Delhi Daredevils used to hold this record. Team Delhi set the record for the highest total at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in T20 cricket. In an Indian T20 League match back in 2011, led by Virender Sehwag, Delhi scored 231/4 in their 20 overs against Team Punjab. SRH broke the record. In 20 overs, they scored 266 runs and set the new-highest T20 Score in this venue. 

Explosive Batting Display By Hyderabad:

On the 35th match, Sunrisers Hyderabad locked horns with Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. While batting first, SRH was aggressive since the beginning. Openers, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head gave an explosive start. They started smashing big shots since the first ball. Abhishek Sharma scored 46 runs in 12 balls. Travis Head was exceptional. He played an outstanding knock of 89 runs in 32 balls with a whopping strike rate of 278.13. 

After Aiden Markram walked out early, Klaasen came to bat. He scored 15 runs in 8 balls. Nitish Kumar Reddy played a knock of 37 runs in 27 balls. Shahbaz Ahmed was excellent. He played an unbeaten knock of 59 runs in 29 balls with a strike rate of 203.45. In 20 overs, they scored 266/7.
