Shardul storm takes clueless Royal Challengers by surprise

Shardul Thakur does a fantastic Andre Russell impersonation. The batter scored the fastest fifty of the season. He ended with 68 runs off just 29 deliveries sparring no bowler. With the Eden screaming “KKR KKR KKR” Shardul scored his first IPL fifty. It is also the season’s joint-fastest score with Jos Buttler. KKR finished with 204 runs on the board.

Shahrukh applauds the Lord

Seeing his brilliant knock, the Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan applauded the all-rounder for his brilliant innings. The team gave a standing ovation to him for his brilliant knock.

On a turning pitch, he has been content to sprint out at the spinners. On a small pitch, his decision to totally commit to the big shots turned out to be wise. Sometimes playing cricket is just about having a good time and Shardul is a perfect example of that.

Shardul storm

Even the finest commentators did not predict this when the score was 89/5 in the 12th over and Andre Russell had been dismissed for a golden duck. Because of a significant inside edge, Shardul Thakur’s opening delivery went for four and prevented Karn Sharma from completing a hat-trick. His innings after that, though, were anything but fortunate. He attacked the opposition fearlessly and assisted KKR in scoring 46 runs off the next three overs (12-15). The home squad never looked back after gaining some desperately needed momentum. During the 103-run partnership, Rinku was content to be the supporting actor. He only shifted to batsmanship in the 19th over, when he smoked Harshal for a few sixes and a four before being caught off the penultimate ball.
