Dhruv Jurel Receives a Hamstring Injury Scare While Fielding Against Sunrisers Hyderabad

The IPL 2024 is experiencing the 50th match of this season. In the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad is facing Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The Royals gave a dominating start to the match and fans are enjoying it all the way. But in the last ball of the 9th over, Dhruv Jurel had an injury threat while fielding in the deep mid-wicket.

Dhruv Jurel’s Injury Scare:

With an amazing performance in the previous matches, Rajasthan Royals appeared into the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Both are facing each other in the 50th game of this IPL season. After having a dominating start, Dhruv Jurel faced an injury concern and walked out from the ground. 

In the 9th over of the game, Yuzvendra Chahal came to bowl. In the last ball of the over, Travis Head took the strike. Chahal delivers a quicker one aimed at the pads. Head anticipates the line, leans forward and expertly whips the ball through midwicket, finding the gap between deep mid and long-on for a boundary. 

To save the run, Dhruv Jurel chased the ball to the deep mid-wicket. But he abruptly pulled up due to injury, favoring his left hamstring. He then limped off the field and headed towards the dressing room. It appears that his left hamstring is the source of the issue. That is raising concern in the RR team as the young batter is in excellent form.

In this match, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bat first. initially, the Royals gave an amazing start. Avesh Khan and Sandeep Sharma picked up two crucial wickets in the beginning. But Travis Head showcased his excellence again. Head scored another half-century. He scored 57 runs in 43 balls. On the other hand, Nitish Kumar Reddy is standing on 49 runs in 29 balls. In the 15th over, SRH is 131/3.
