Rohit Sharma Challenges Umpire, Talks Ducks, and Banter on Stump Mic

After two successful wins, Team India is facing Afghanistan in the last T20 match of the series at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Team India already won the series but the visitors are trying hard to register a win in this match. After winning the toss, India is batting first, In the second over, Rohit Sharma’s conversation with the umpire caught on stump mic.

Rohit on Stimp Mic:

After the South Africa series, Team India locked horns with Afghanistan in a three-match T20 series. Captain Rohit Sharma came back in the shortest format after almost 14 months. He played the last T20 match back in 2022 in the T20 World Cup semifinal against England. After that, he is taking part in this T20 series. 

After coming back in the T20 format, Rohit Sharma struggled with his bat. He got out on duck two times in this series. At the start of the second over in the third match, Azmatullah Omarzai came to bowl. In the second ball, Rohit went for a boundary. After hitting this, his conversation with the umpire caught the attention. 

Rohit was overheard telling the umpire that he made solid contact with the bat on the first four. He also mentioned having two ducks in the series already. On the stump mic, he was caught saying, “Arey Viru, thigh pad diya kiya pehla ball. Arey itna bada bat laga yaar. Ek toh already 2 baar 0 pe out hua.”

India vs Afghanistan Third T20:

India is facing Afghanistan in their final T20 series before the T20 World Cup. After winning the toss, India decided to bat first. The team had a shaky start. Yashahvi Jaiswal walked away after scoring 4 runs in 6 balls. Virat Kohli registered his first-ever golden duck in the T20 format. Sanju Samson also got dismissed on a golden duck. 

Afghan bowlers have been dominating the Indian batters since the start. Fareed Ahmad is on fire. He picked up 3 wickets in 10 runs. Omarzai took 1 wicket by conceding 7 runs. In the sixth over, India is 26/4.
