Delhi is charged with excited energy after today’s match between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
The match started with a toss that came out in favor of Rajasthan Royals. Their captain Sanju Sampson opted for their team to bowl first. This led to Delhi Capitals batting in their first innings and scoring a total of 221/8. RR seemed to fall short of the mark as they couldn’t chase the target and lost the match by 20 runs.
For DC, this is their 5th win in their last 7 games and one that will taste sweeter after a 7-wicket loss in their previous game. They will be up against RCB next in Bengaluru on Sunday.

After the big win, resulting in DC to be placed in the middle of the points table, Rishabh Pant highlighted how the team focuses on their gameplay instead of dwelling on their matches.
He said that the team focuses more on the upcoming games rather than thinking a lot about their wins or losses.
“The way our bowlers executed at the back end was the main positive and it was really good to see. We will try to learn from every game. Even when we lose or win, we will keep our head down and keep moving forward.” said Pant
Adding some praise to Kuldeep yadav, Pant added that Kuldeep had not missed the mark and had delivered the game as expected.
“As always Kuldeep delivered which was great to see. It was close to par and at the same time we were thinking that if we can restrict them to 200 that would be fair and that was the thought process.” He added.
Traffic jam in the middle of table
The middle position of the points table is now flooded with teams that have scored 12 points till now.
DC became the latest addition to this 12-pointer club after their victory in the match against RR on Tuesday.
The mid-table is now facing a traffic jam with 4 teams stuck on 12 points. CSK SRH DC LSG – in the same order.
In Wednesday’s IPL 2024 match, the competition will be in Hyderabad as SRH lock horns with the sixth-placed LSG. The winner will go to the third spot and the loser might get a tad bit closer to the start of the exit gate.
The race for the IPL 2024 playoffs is hence getting more and more exciting as the days pass.
