Requiring only one wicket on Day 3, Ravindra Jadeja accomplished the milestone by dismissing England’s captain, Ben Stokes. Ravindra Jadeja achieved the milestone of 500 wickets in his 125th First-Class cricket appearance, maintaining an average of over 23. His impressive tally comprises 31 five-wicket hauls and 22 four-wicket hauls. Notably, he has secured 10-wicket match hauls on eight occasions, with his best match figures being 13/126, while his best single-innings performance stands at 7/31.

Having debuted in December 2012, Ravindra Jadeja has swiftly accumulated 281 Test wickets in 70 matches, maintaining an average just above 24. This total includes 12 five-wicket hauls and two 10-wicket match hauls. Impressively, 57 of his wickets have been against England. Notably, his 500th First-Class scalp also marked his 200th wicket in home Tests, where his average drops to 20-plus.
