The four years long wait has been over. India is starting their World Cup journey on October 8. In Chennai, Team India has met their first competitor Australia in the field. Fans are excited. India defeated Pakistan by 228 runs. This was a huge win. After that, they won the Asia Cup final. They defeated Sri Lanka by 10 wickets. Right before the World Cup, India played a three-match ODI series against Australia. He won that by a 2-1 margin. These two big wins boosted their confidence before the World Cup.
After 12 years, India is hosting the World Cup again. The last time India hosted the tournament was in 2011. That time India won the World Cup under MS Dhoni’s captaincy. Fans are excited. They are hoping to repeat the 2011 momentum.
