Purple Cap Holder of IPL 2020: Updated After MI vs RR Match 20

Mumbai Indians are dominating the IPL 2020 and how! The Orange Cap table has a couple of Mumbai Indians top order batters and the Purple Cap table is absolutely taken over by their bowling unit.

While Kagiso Rabada continues to lead the following table, four Mumbai Indians bowlers are featured in the top ten highest wicket-takers’ list at present. Mumbai Indians scored 193 runs for the loss of four wickets. Thanks to the brilliance showcased by Suryakumar Yadav (79) and Hardik Pandya (30* off 19). Their bowlers defended the total with absolute dominance. After a long time, Jasprit Bumrah looked to be in shape as he scalped four wickets of Rajasthan Royals conceding only 20 runs in his four overs. He ran through almost the entire lower order and also took the wicket of Steve Smith. Bumrah very deservingly stands at the second place in the Purple Cap table.

Trent Boult and James Pattinson continued their job and took two wickets each once again. Boult is at third place followed by his teammate Pattinson at fourth rank. Rahul Chahar is another name from Mumbai Indians to have impressed everyone. However, Chahar was a bit expensive today as he picked up one wicket for 24 runs in three overs. Chahar is placed at the 8th. Unfortunately, there is no representative of the Rajasthan Royals. Jofra Archer is standing at 12th place after scalping one wicket for 34 runs in his four overs.
