Pant Makes His Case Strong With His Boundaries  As WT20 2024 Draft Approaches 

Rishabh Pant is one deadly batsman. The 26-year-old Delhi Capitals captain is currently delivering one of his best games in their match against Gujarat Titans led by Shubhman Gill. 

The Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill won the toss and elected to bowl against Delhi Capitals at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

With the time for the T20 World Cup approaching, all players are scrambling, trying to play their best games as the playing XI for India is soon to be decided and announced. Players like Dinesh Karthik have shared their desire to be playing in the tournament, however only time can tell whether that happens.

Pant hits boundaries while Manish Sharma bowls

In his IPL comeback season, Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant strengthened his case for inclusion to the ICC T20 World Cup on Wednesday by showcasing his batting fireworks against the Gujarat Titans, the reigning champions. On matchday 40 of the IPL 2024 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, the Delhi Capitals unleashed a full-scale assault on seasoned bowler Mohit Sharma in the last over of the DC innings.

Pant had earlier taken time off from cricket on medical grounds after his big accident on Haridwar Highway back on 30 December 2022. Pant was not able to compete in the 2023 IPL because of the same reason.

DC leaves a run chase of 224 runs 

In the second innings of the game, Gujarat Titans is supposed to chase a score of 224 runs. The Delhi team showed their great skills by scoring 224 runs in 20 overs by losing just 4 wickets. 

While Axar Patel smashed 66 off 43 balls, Rishabh Pant remained unbeaten on 88 off just 43 deliveries. His captain’s knock powered DC to 224-4 in 20 overs.
