MS Dhoni Creates Incredible Record, Becomes First Wicketkeeper to Complete 150 Catches in IPL

On the 53rd match of the IPL, Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings are locking horns in Dharamsala. In that intense match, MS Dhoni has touched a milestone. He becomes the first wicketkeeper to complete 150 catches in IPL. 

Incredible Milestone by MS Dhoni:

As the tournament goes into more depth, the competition is getting tighter. On the 53rd match of the game, Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings are facing each other at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala. MS Dhoni has touched another milestone of his exciting career in that match. 

After winning the toss, Punjab Kings choose to bowl first. MS Dhoni came to field in the second innings with a record of 149 catches in IPL. He was just 1 catch away from the milestone. But the great man was never disappointed. In the 10th over, he touched the milestone. 

In the 10th over, Simarjit Singh came to bowl. Before facing the 4th delivery of the over, Jitesh Sharma was on strike.  Simarjeet Singh delivers a short-of-length delivery outside off with good pace and bounce. Jitesh attempts to cut but gets a healthy edge, which Dhoni grabs comfortably. With that, he achieves the milestone of 150 catches in IPL.

Chennai’s Remarkable Comeback in the Match:

In the last few matches, Chennai Super Kings were struggling with their form. In this match, Punjab Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first. In the first innings, they showcased amazing domination. CSK batters struggled. Gaikwad scored 32 runs. Daryl Mitchell scored 30 runs in 19 deliveries. Ravindra Jadeja added 43 runs in the match. With all those effort, Chennai put 167 runs in on the board. 

The target was not that tough for Punjab. But the CSK bowlers made a remarkable comeback in the second innings. Tushar Deshpande secured 2 early wickets and that put pressure on the opponent. Ravindra Jadeja nailed the game. In his 4-over spell, he conceded only 20 runs and picked up three crucial wickets. With that dominance, in the 17th over, Punjab Kings are 111/8
