Using song lyrics to express his feelings,“I would like to explain it with the help of some lyrics of a Bengali song.. ‘I’ll keep you in my heart. I won’t let you leave. Leaving you would mean I’ll neber be able to feel (God’s) golden touch’ ..you are our heart, we help u in our hearts please don’t hurt us by leaving anymore.” said the fan in a now viral video from the meet and greet.

Gambhir’s return changes KKR’s fortunes

Gautam Gambhir has returned to KKR after several years, and how. The former captain for KKR had won both the 2 trophies that KKR boasts of, one in 2012 and the second in 2014.

Gambhir was a part of KKR from 2011 till 2017, after which he left the franchise and they could not muster up another win in a season. The much-loved cricketer and ex-politician has now returned to KKR, as their mentor.

Ever since, KKR’s fortunes seem to have changed for the better. Through tactical developments, such as promoting West Indies cricketer Sunil Narine as an opening batsman and bringing in Phil Salt as Jason Roy’s replacement, Gautam’s ideas have done wonders for the franchise.

The Narine-Salt partnership has not only proven to be a consistent one, but has also taken a lot of pressure off of the middle order batsmen.

Now KKR holds the top spot at the points table having 16 points and with eight wins in 11 matches as well as a net run-rate of +1.453.
