While the lion’s share of the prize money awaits the finalists, all nine participating teams will receive a share of the $3.8 million purse. South Africa, who finished third in the ICC World Test Championship standings for the 2021-23 cycle, will earn a well-deserved sum of $450,000. England, who made a late surge in the tournament and secured the fourth position, will bag a respectable $350,000 for their efforts.Â
Consolation prizes for teams below top 5
Sri Lanka, who showcased glimpses of brilliance during their run claimed the fifth spot in the standings, earning themselves a commendable reward of $200,000. The remaining teams in the rankings, namely New Zealand, Pakistan, West Indies, and Bangladesh, will each receive a sum of $100,000 as a token of recognition for their participation and contributions to the championship.
