He wrote, “ Kai padosi X cricketers ke dil ke arman ansuoo mein behe gaye.” Irfan took a sarcastic dig at Pakistan with an iconic Bollywood song. That post went viral.
Pakistan’s Disqualification:
After starting the World Cup journey with two dazzling wins, Pakistan lost their form mid-way. They started losing consecutive matches. Qualifying in the semifinal was a hard way for them. Their dream was shattered when New Zealand registered a massive win against Sri Lanka. With that excellent win, they almost reached the semifinal.
After that, Pakistan needed a miraculous win to pass New Zealand’s run rate and qualify for the semifinals. It was an impossible scenario for Pakistan. The first scenario of their qualifying was they needed to bat first. England won the test and decided to bat first. Their dream was destroyed at that moment. England put on a target of 338 runs against Men in Green. They got all out in 244 runs. Their World Cup dream ended here.
