IPL Points Table 2020: Updated After KKR vs MI Match 5

Thanks to the brilliant showcase of Mumbai Indians against Kolkata Knight Riders that they managed to claim the top position in the points table even after a devastating start. Mumbai Indians set a target of 196 for Kolkata Knight Riders based on a stunning batting by Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav. The target was too much to be chased down successfully. Kolkata Knight Riders were reduced to 146/9 in their 20 overs. The winning margin is so far one of the best in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League. This is why Rohit Sharma led side is enjoying a Net Run Rate of +0.993.

The NRR always makes a huge difference and the table below today is evidence of it. The second spot in the table is occupied by Rajasthan Royals followed by Royal Challengers Bangalore at No. 3. Kolkata Knight Riders after losing their first encounter by 49 runs are currently the bottom last team with a very poor NRR (-2.450).
