IPL 2020: Things to Watch Out For KXIP vs RCB Match

Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore will meet for their second respective encounter of IPL 2020. The battle between star-studded RCB and the new captain’s camp will be an exciting one.

Can Padikkal face Shami?

Mohammad Shami delivered an outstanding spell against Delhi Capitals where he finished with 3/15 in his four overs at an economy rate of 3.75. Tomorrow, all eyes will be on Shami again as he will hit the ground against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Devdutt Padikkal showed his class on his debut IPL match but how he fares in the test against the experienced Shami will be an interesting watch. Moreover, Shami will have the onus of stopping the RCB batting line-up consisting of Kohli, Aaron Finch, AB de Villiers, and Padikkal.

Virat Kohli’s form

Virat Kohli scored only 14 runs off 13 balls and did not hit a single boundary. Kohli, like maximum players, joined IPL after a long pandemic forced break. But still, as the best batter of world cricket, he would also like to get back his Midas Touch at the soonest. The RCB batting line-up depends hugely on him and ABDV. It was good for the team that most of their top order batters were able to add runs but Kohli’s form matters for the Bangalore team for term sustainable success.

Onus on Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal was expected to perform on the UAE track and he delivered a match-winning one to start RCB’s campaign on a good note. How he clicks in the matches to come will be a deciding factor for Royal Challengers Bangalore in this edition. Chahal has to contain KXIP batters like KL Rahul, Glenn Maxwell, Chris Gayle in the sixth IPL 2020 match. It will not be a cakewalk but Chahal is able to do wonder. He bowled brilliantly against Jonny Bairstow which again hints at his mettle.

Mayank Agarwal’s vital day

Mayank Agarwal was stunning against Delhi Capitals. His 89 off 60 balls literally saved the KXIP batting reputation whereas most of them including KL Rahul could not help much. Agarwal was the highest run-scorer for Punjab in their encounter and the team would hope him to continue his good form in the second one as well. Mayank Agarwal has to showcase his ability against the RCB bowling variation. Especially the battle between him and Chahal can be a gamechanger. Whoever wins, his team will be having an edge for sure.
