Turning point

Stoinis was not yet done for the day. He bowled three overs and took the most two important wickets to take the match to the super over. His first two overs went for 17 runs with no success. He came to deliver the last over with the dangerous Mayank Agarwal doing it all alone for the Punjab side. Agarwal hit Stoinis for a maximum in the first call of the over. The next two balls were gone for two and four followed by a dot ball. Mayank Agarwal was eventually beaten by Stoinis in the fourth ball of the over. In the fifth one, Agarwal went for a full toss but was caught by Shimron Hetmyer at the boundary line. This was the turning point of the match as Agarwal was all set to take the Capitals home safely.

Kings XI Punjab required only one run to seal the win with one ball left. Chris Jordan went for a full toss straight to the square leg only to be pouched by Kagiso Rabada. It was his (3-0-29-2) efforts that took the match to super over where Rabada finished it in favour of the Capitals.
