Indian Premier League 2024 Orange Cap: Updated After Rajasthan Royals vs Gujarat Titans Match No. 24

 On the 24th match of the IPL 2024, Rajasthan Royals locked horns with Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. After winning four consecutive matches, Rajasthan appeared in this match. On the other hand, the Gujarat Titans lost the last few matches consecutively. In the first innings, RR batters played well and GT batters also showcased their excellence. After those mighty performances, the Orange Cap table was shattered.

In a highly anticipated match at their home ground, the Rajasthan Royals, undefeated thus far in the tournament, clashed with the Gujarat Titans. Opting to bat first, the Royals faced an early setback as Jos Buttler departed after scoring 8 runs from 10 balls. However, Yashasvi Jaiswal steadied the innings with a composed knock of 24 runs off 19 balls.

Bur Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag took the innings to another level. Both the players completed their half-centuries. Riyan scored his third half-century of this season. He played a knock of 76 runs in 48 balls with three boundaries and five over-boundaries. On the other hand, Sanju Samson played an unbeaten knock of 68 runs in 38 balls. After that, they put on a total of 197 runs against the opponent. 

The Perfect Thriller of Second Innings:

The second inning of the game should be called the perfect batting excellence. The Titans showed their color from struggling initially to ending the match with excellence. While batting, Sai Sudharsan, and Shubman Gill gave a perfect start. But Sudharsan played a knock of 35 runs in 29 balls. But Shubman Gill’s consistency locked the game. 

When all the batters were losing their wickets, Gill stood strong. He played a knock of 72 runs in 44 balls with an excellent strike rate of 163.64. Vijay Shankar scored 16 runs in 10 balls. Rahul Tewatia played a crucial knock of 22 runs. But Rashid Khan sealed the game by smashing the required boundary in the last ball. Gujarat Titans won the match by 3 wickets.
